Beat License Terms

These public terms explain the standard JoshYouWut beat-license paths. Your order confirmation, invoice, checkout record, or signed agreement controls the exact beat, tier, price, buyer, and final rights.

Starter Lease

• Public starting price: $29.
• Non-exclusive use for one song release.
• MP3 plus WAV if listed in the order.
• No stems.
• Up to $2,500 gross revenue and 100,000 combined streams/downloads/views unless the order says otherwise.
• One official video or visualizer on artist-controlled channels.
• No paid ads, SYNC, or Content ID unless approved in writing.

Premium Lease

• Public starting price: $79.
• Non-exclusive use for one serious release.
• MP3, WAV, and available tracked stems/trackouts.
• Up to $10,000 gross revenue and 500,000 combined streams/downloads/views unless the order says otherwise.
• Official video, visualizer, short-form clips, and artist-controlled social content allowed.
• Paid artist-promo ads allowed up to $1,000 total ad spend unless the order says otherwise.
• No SYNC or Content ID unless approved in writing.

Exclusive Buyout

• Custom quotes start at $500+.
• Exclusivity begins only after full payment clears and written terms are confirmed.
• Existing valid non-exclusive licenses sold before exclusivity remain valid unless separately bought out.
• MP3, WAV, and available tracked stems/trackouts are included.
• Exclusive use rights do not automatically transfer copyright ownership unless the agreement says so.
• Publishing, songwriting, master ownership, royalty splits, credits, PRO registration, and Content ID rules must be stated in writing.

Restrictions

Buyers may not resell, sublicense, lease, distribute, or give away a beat as a standalone instrumental; claim ownership of the beat itself; upload it as a sample pack, loop pack, stock asset, or AI-training dataset; or use it in unlawful, infringing, deceptive, or high-risk brand contexts without written approval.
